PHD4INNOVATING is an initiative promoted by SISSA - International School of Advanced Studies of Trieste to improve the efficiency, the sustainability and the environmental impact of the Port Logistic with the help of Data Science and Mathematical Modeling
The call for ideas is addressed to the PhD students and post-docs of the six Italian Higher Education Schools: Scuola Normale Superiore, Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, IUSS of Pavia, IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, GSSI of L'Aquila and SISSA of Trieste.
Designed in collaboration with the Autorità Portuale and Confindustria dell’Alto Adriatico, the initiative aims to stimulate contact between academia and the productive world: skills and creativity on the one hand, strong demand for innovation on the other.
To participate, participants need to form a team and register by July 24, then send their project proposal by August 14. The organizers are available to form teams for individual participants. Furthermore, during the research and project development phases, mentors will be available to guide the teams.
The three best projects will be presented during a final event, scheduled for September 3 within the ESOF2020 - Euroscience Open Forum event in Trieste.
