Profile

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher with an interdisciplinary focus on understanding and countering misinformation, disinformation and the spread of fake news. The candidate should have a proven track record of cutting-edge research in political communication, media psychology and digital literacy, with a particular focus on developing and testing innovative interventions to build public resilience to misinformation. A strong background in psychology, political science, communication studies or a related field is required. Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for research and intervention development, including gamification, online experiments and social media analysis, is also ideal.

Activity

During their stay at the School, the visiting professor will be involved in a variety of academic and research activities related to misinformation. The professor will give seminars or lectures that provide an insight into the latest developments in the field. The researcher will actively participate in ongoing research projects and work closely with faculty and research teams to explore potential long-term collaborations and develop new lines of research. The researcher will also provide one-to-one or group supervision for doctoral students and participate in events and other activities at the institution.

Formal requirements

A PhD in Psychology, Political Science, Communication or a related fields.

Specific requirements:

Demonstrated experience in conducting research on psychological measures to counter misinformation/ disinformation and to foster media literacy, and a strong publication record or evidence of high-quality research output in this area.
