Modelling of material instability and fracture of quasi-brittle materials, in the framework of the activities of the ERC Starting Grant CA2PVM - Multi-field and multi-scale Computational Approach to design and durability of Photovoltaic Modules. Activities related to the development of the PhD research and education of IMT.
Researcher with experience documented by publications in international journals in the following areas: solid mechanics, material modelling, fracture mechanics and material instabilities, experimental methods with special regard to photoelasticity.
A PhD in structural mechanics or related areas. Candidates must have an excellent record of high-impact international publications. Candidates should demonstrate experience in fracture mechanics, material instabilities, material modelling, photoelasticity.
International expertise in solid mechanics, with special focus on material modelling, fracture mechanics and instabilities. Experience on techniques for the assessment of residual stresses, like photoelasticity.
