Vincenzo Scoca awarded with the Best Student Paper Award at CLOSER 2018

IMT School student Vincenzo Scoca won the Best Student Paper Award at the annual International Conference on Cloud Computing and Services Science (CLOSER 2018), with his paper on "Scheduling Latency-Sensitive Applications in Edge Computing". The 8th International Conference on Cloud Computing and Services Science 2018, held in Madeira (Portugal) on March 19-21, focused on the emerging area of Cloud Computing, inspired by recent advancements concerning the infrastructure, operations and available services through the global network. CLOSER 2018 also focused on how the Services Science field can provide theories, methods and techniques to design, analyse, manage, market and study various aspects of Cloud Computing. Vincenzo is a Ph.D. student (XXX cycle) at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca in the Computer Science track and a fellow member of the SySMA research unit directed by Prof. Rocco De Nicola.
