Víctor Ortiz Gimenez

I am a PhD candidate at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (Italy) in Economics, Networks and Business Analytics (ENBA) at the AXES department.

I am interested in Empirical International Trade and Development. In particular, I use Econometric tools to understand the dynamics of the exporters in Latin American countries. I am also interested in using large microeconomic data to give policy-relevant advice.

Previously, I got a Master's in Quantitative Economics (Universidad de Alicante) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid).

Currently, visiting the International Economics department at KU Leuven (Belgium).
