Software to create Software

Current challenges for the future software industry include how to leverage emergent computing environments, how to deal with faster business and technology changes, and how to cope with the explosion of data. For software development to become more reliable and inclusive, we need higher-level automated methods and techniques to build efficient, dependable and secure software, while allowing faster development, deployment and evolution. Ultimately, these should make software creation tasks accessible to non-experts, domain specialists or even common citizens. In this talk, we will review some of these challenges and solutions we have been investigating in our research group at NOVA LINCS.
